
Marty Lenhof was elected by the citizens of Elsmere as Mayor in 2010 and re-elected in November 2014, November 2018, and November 2022. Prior to being elected as mayor he served on Elsmere City Council from 2007-2010. Mayor Lenhof is focused on the future of Elsmere and making it a place that every resident is proud to call home.
A retired teacher and coach, Mayor Lenhof graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1974 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and received his Master’s Degree in Education from Xavier University in 1987.
During his term as mayor, he has focused on blight reduction, code enforcement, and economic development. Mayor Lenhof also added the services of a full-time city administrator to focus on the day-to-day operations of the city and enlisted the services of the Kentucky League of Cities to develop strategic plan to better chart the future of our great city.
He lives on Swan Circle with his wife, Sharon, and is the father of three children and currently has five grandchildren.
